Casting Grain Designation

Alloy
Designation	Product Description
E	Easy cast alloy: These alloy s contain deoxidizing and
	brightening agents and are designed to yield superior flow
	characteristics in addition to as-cast brightness resulting in
	good fill and consistently clean castings.
C	Clean cast alloys: These alloys contain a brightening agent
	but no additional deoxidizing constituents other than that
	provided in the major chemistry. They will produce clean,
	sound castings.
NZ	Neutral alloys: These alloys contain no additional brightening
	or deoxidizing agents other than that found in the major
	chemistry (usually.- a' small amount of zinc).
N	Neutral alloys: These alloys contain no additional deoxidizing
	or brightening a;=eats and contain no zinc.
